From Kaiserstuhl to the world – success for decades on the market
RILIT Coatings GmbH is a real success story. Founded in 1959 by Richard Litterst as a specialist store for paints and accessories in the small town of Endingen on the edge of the Kaiserstuhl, the business was driven forward by Walter Ermisch to become a globally active company. The company is now run by son Stefan Ermisch and nephew Georg König. Many employees are part of the family. So we are a family business in the best sense of the word.
In the mid-1990s, the company also began developing and producing heat-sealing lacquers for the packaging industry. In 2000, ekp coatings GmbH was founded as a separate company for this line of business. The further development of high-performance sealing lacquers and primers has been an important part of our company ever since. At the beginning of 2022, ekp coatings GmbH and RILIT Lackfabrik GmbH merged to form RIILT Coatings GmbH. This step ensures greater efficiency and simpler and clearer structures for our customers and suppliers.
1959
Hervorgegangen aus dem einstigen Farbengroßhandels Richard Litterst, gründete Walter Ermisch die Rilit Lackfabrik GmbH. Neben der Handelstätigkeit wird zielstrebig der Aufbau einer eigenen Produktion vorangetrieben.
1984
Neubau der jetzigen Lackfabrik im Industriegebiet.
1995
Beginn der Entwicklung, Produktion und Vermarktung von Heißsiegellacken bei Rilit Lackfabrik GmbH.
1998
Modernisierung und Erweiterung der Kapazitäten im Produktionsbereich und im Umweltschutz werden durchgeführt. Einführung von Qualitätsmanagement DIN EN ISO 9001 und Umweltmanagement nach DIN EN ISO 14001.
2000
Gründung der EKP Verpackungslacke GmbH, die sich auf die Entwicklung und den Vertrieb von Produkten für die Verpackungsindustrie spezialisiert hat.
2008
Neues Produktionsgebäude mit über 40% mehr Produktionsfläche, es werden weitere Arbeitsplätze geschaffen.
2010
Verstärkte Produktion mit kundenindividuellen Lösungen in Nieschemärkten.
2017
Umfirmierung der EKP Verpackungslacke GmbH in ekp coatings GmbH.
2019
Jubiläum: Rilit Lackfabrik GmbH wird 60 Jahre alt.
2022
Umfirmierung und Zusammenführung der Rilit Lackfabrik GmbH und ekp coatings GmbH zu RILIT Coatings GmbH.
We love our home!
Our roots and our region are very important to us, so it is natural for us to be involved here too.
We support numerous local associations. Particular attention is paid to the youth sections of the sports clubs. We sponsor the jerseys of the SV Endingen F youth team.
